CCHP Pharmcy Technicians: If you have any pharmacy problem involving a CCHP patient, consider trying to resolve it through the CCHP pharm techs at 925-957-7260, option 2, rather than calling the pharmacy. The CCHP pharm techs are quick, intelligent, and have very short to nonexistent hold times. For Example:
Pharmacist says an ARB requires a PA when the patient has had an ACEI cough. The pharmacist says, "I keep submitting and it says 'PA required'."
Pharmacist says some particular med requires a PA, where the CCHP Preferred Drug List (PDL) says otherwise (e.g., "Claim pays online when PA criteria met," or simply no mention of PA).
Pharmacist says some particular med is not covered, where the PDL explicitly describes it as covered.
You will need a notary to sign your paperwork. In the Quality Management department next to the hospital cafeteria there is a notary public.
